Course Objective

This course covers the differences between spinal instability, ligament instability, and alteration of motion segment integrity. It relates the
strain sprain injury to subluxation and describes an acceptable method to rate permanent impairment. It presents a model of subluxation and instability that explains why manipulation would be an appropriate form of treatment. This is one-hour of a complete course by Dr. Cronk. It may be taken alone or as a group in any order.

Learning Objectives

The participant will be able to explain the subtle differences between spinal instability, ligament instability, and alteration of motion segment integrity. He or she will be able to defend the appropriateness of a diagnosis of permanent injury and the use of manipulation on patients with spinal instability.
