Course Objective
This course by Dr. Osterhouse teaches how to take and interpret radiographs, MRI’s, CT’s, and other diagnostic imaging tools including the bone scan. This is a valuable review of spinal and extremity imaging for a doctor in general practice.
This hour teaches the participant about the presence and development of various pathologies such as hip fracture and osteoporosis that are visible on diagnostic radiographic images. Dr. Osterhouse offers patient histories, examination findings and examples of diagnostic images to acquaint the practitioner with and improve their ability to interpretation radiographic findings.
Learning Objectives
The participant will be able to explain how to visualize the spine and extremities with diagnostic imaging tools in order to diagnose and manage the care of patients with hip fracture and osteoporosis. He or she will be able to point out a number of common x-ray finding associated with these conditions.
